Planning Coordinator

About the role

The Planning Coordinator will lead the development, maintenance and tracking of comprehensive project schedules for the capital‑expenditure portfolio at Sukari gold mine. Based in the Projects Department, you will ensure that all field execution data, critical‑path activities and logistics are accurately captured to support safe, cost‑effective delivery of mining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain integrated master schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Identify critical paths, monitor variances and run "what‑if" scenarios to mitigate delays.
• Estimate and allocate labour, specialised tooling, cranes and contractor resources across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Logistics to track long‑lead equipment fabrication and delivery.
• Break down engineering drawings into work packs, bills of materials and step‑by‑step field tasks.
• Collect daily/weekly progress updates, generate dashboards with KPIs, schedule compliance and resource burn rates.
• Assess change‑order impacts, update baselines and facilitate post‑project close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of construction planning or scheduling experience, preferably in mining or heavy‑industrial projects.
• Professional planning certifications (e.g., AACE, PMI‑SP) are a plus.
