Planning Supervisor – Finished Goods

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Planning Supervisor for its Cairo office (onsite). The role leads the finished goods planning team and is responsible for planning, controlling and optimizing finished goods inventory so that products are available, customers are fulfilled on time and inventory levels stay optimal. It also drives continuous improvement across planning processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain finished goods plans based on demand forecasts, customer orders and production schedules.
• Balance service level targets with working capital objectives to keep inventory at optimal levels.
• Monitor finished goods stock, including slow-moving, obsolete, blocked and excess inventory (SLOBs), and lead regular SLOB reviews with action plans coordinated with Sales, Production, Quality and Warehouse.
• Ensure FIFO / FEFO compliance and reduce risks of expiry, obsolescence or write-offs.
• Coordinate scheduling and production planning with Production Planning to meet demand efficiently, align finished goods needs with production capacity and manage allocation and prioritization during constrained supply.
• Work with Sales, RMs, Planning and Customer Service to reflect demand changes, promotions and customer priorities.
• Track and analyze KPIs such as service level, inventory, forecast alignment and SLOBs, and ensure compliance with planning procedures, internal controls and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a planning supervisory role or supply planning.
• Very good command of English, written and spoken.
• Proven leadership background with people development achievements.
• Attention to detail, focus on continuous improvement, and ability to delegate, influence and resolve conflicts.

• ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
• Planning and inventory control
