Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Engineer coordinates category plans, process efficiency and sourcing initiatives across Al Futtaim Group Business Units. The role covers an annual spend of EGP 500 million, executes category sourcing strategies, develops supplier approval criteria, leads supplier negotiations, manages contracts and drives procurement process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and supplier management: run category sourcing strategies including RFI, RFP and RFQ; document bid events through supplier correspondence; maintain a vendor list with qualifications and delivery times; develop selection criteria and drive supplier selection and approval.
• Negotiate with suppliers, implement supplier risk analysis and negotiate ongoing supplier relationships.
• Contract and process management: handle contract negotiations, pre-negotiated terms and KPIs; ensure process efficiency aligned with the Procurement strategy; build internal customer relationships.
• Generate and update management reports on time, communicate professionally with the team and business peers, and work with the procurement manager.

Required profile

• Full-time Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive procurement experience, especially in soft and hard facility services.
• Procurement or Finance certification is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in e-sourcing platforms and procurement software.
• Strong verbal and written English.
• Planning, organization and time management skills.
• Experience with data-driven sourcing, spend analytics, online RFx events and digital supplier onboarding.
• Proficiency in procurement software and e-auction tools such as SAP Ariba, Oracle and Coupa.
