Plant Room Technician

About the role

The Plant Room Technician ensures the reliable operation of all mechanical and electrical plant equipment at Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh. You will monitor chillers, boilers, desalination and wastewater treatment systems, performing routine checks and reporting any irregularities to engineering management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control chiller, hot‑water boiler, MVSG, desalination and STP plant performance.
• Execute preventive maintenance on all plant equipment and maintain accurate service logs.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC, refrigeration and pressure instrumentation.
• Calibrate thermostatic controls and adjust pressure/vapor readings to optimise system efficiency.
• Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems, record meter readings, temperatures and pressures.
• Assist shift engineers during major shutdowns and ensure the engineering area remains clean and organised.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on equipment status and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience with plant‑room equipment in a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain comprehensive logs.
• Good teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions from senior engineers.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a 24‑hour operational setting.
