Pool Attendant – Cairo

About the role

The Pool Attendant at the Cairo Marriott Hotel ensures a safe, clean and welcoming pool environment for guests. Working full‑time on‑site in the Zamalek district, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing information, assistance and a high level of service in line with Marriott standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the pool area to guarantee safety, cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
• Set up and maintain loungers, umbrellas, towels and other poolside equipment.
• Welcome guests, explain pool rules, answer inquiries and coordinate requests with other hotel departments.
• Check and replenish pool amenities, report maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow all hygiene, safety and grooming standards throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear, courteous communication.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and move pool furniture for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or leisure training is a plus.
• Previous experience in hospitality, recreation or a similar guest‑facing role is preferred.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of pool safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• First‑aid and CPR certification (advantageous).
