Power Systems Consultant – Nexus Analytica

About the role

We are looking for a Power Systems Consultant to join Nexus Analytica and support consulting assignments across power system studies, grid integration, and renewable energy connection projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high‑quality technical advisory and compliance support.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of consulting projects related to power systems, grid integration and network planning.
• Conduct studies such as load flow, short‑circuit, power quality, voltage stability and dynamic analysis.
• Perform grid compliance and interconnection studies for solar PV, wind, BESS and other distributed energy resources.
• Develop and review simulation models using industry‑standard software tools.
• Assist in transmission and distribution assessments, including MV and LV network studies.
• Contribute to grid‑code reviews, compliance assessments and technical documentation.
• Prepare reports, presentations, technical notes and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with utilities, regulators, developers and other stakeholders on technical matters.
• Support project planning, data collection, validation and internal coordination.
• Participate in workshops, proposal writing and business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in power‑systems consulting, grid studies or utility advisory.
• Strong understanding of transmission and distribution systems and grid integration.
• Experience with at least one type of study (load flow, short‑circuit, harmonics, protection coordination, dynamic simulation, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing and presentation skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
