Primary Teacher Y1-Y6 (Academic Year 2026-2027)

About the role

GEMS The British School Al Rehab is looking for a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher for its Primary Department, covering Years 1 to 6 for the Academic Year 2026-2027. The post is based on site in Cairo and requires relocation; the teaching follows the British Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the British Curriculum
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Assess, track and report on student progress
• Maintain positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
• Take part in school meetings, CPD and extracurricular activities
• Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
• Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience (British Curriculum preferred)
• Native English speaker
• Willingness to relocate to Cairo
