Principal Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design, analysis and implementation of electrical systems for high‑profile building services, infrastructure and sustainability projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, consultants and contractors to deliver innovative, energy‑efficient solutions that meet local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for renewable energy, EV charging and energy‑efficient buildings.
• Develop substations and electrical designs compliant with KSA/UAE authority regulations.
• Integrate sustainability and decarbonisation strategies into commercial, industrial and public infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with BS, CIBSE, NFPA, local codes and green‑building certifications such as LEED, Estidama, Mostadam and BREEAM.
• Review and approve detailed drawings, calculations, schematics and specifications.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from concept through detailed design and delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design for building services.
• Proven track record in sustainable electrical design, energy‑efficient solutions and grid‑interactive systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
