Principal Site Engineer – Mechanical HVAC

About the role

The Principal Site Engineer – Mechanical HVAC will lead the execution of HVAC mechanical systems on large‑scale construction sites. You will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and safety officers to ensure high‑quality installations that meet engineering standards and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the execution of mechanical HVAC systems, ensuring alignment with drawings and specifications.
• Analyze and validate HVAC designs, cross‑checking technical drawings with site conditions.
• Track project schedule, report deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Identify material and equipment needs, secure approvals and manage procurement.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental protocols in collaboration with HSE officers.
• Oversee subcontractor work and collaborate with quality control teams to inspect and rectify deficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in HVAC mechanical systems installation and supervision on large‑scale projects (hospitals, malls, hotels a plus).
• Strong knowledge of chillers, ductwork, ventilation, air distribution and mechanical piping systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
