Procurement Engineer - Red Sea Project

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement cycle for construction materials, equipment and subcontracted services in line with project requirements, timelines and budgets. The role ensures timely and cost-effective sourcing of quality materials while keeping compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications and material requirements with engineering and planning teams.
• Prepare procurement strategies and material procurement plans based on project schedules.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate supplier offers technically and commercially, and take part in negotiations and vendor selection.
• Create and process purchase orders in the ERP system (e.g. SAP) so materials arrive on time at sites.
• Maintain a reliable vendor database, assess suppliers and keep strong supplier relationships.
• Track material deliveries and report delays or issues, coordinating with warehouse, logistics and finance on delivery, invoicing and payments.
• Support contract review and negotiation for key materials and subcontracting, and ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical).
• At least 2 years of procurement experience in the construction industry, including site and head office exposure.
• Solid understanding of construction materials, equipment and subcontracting practices.
• Knowledge of local and international suppliers and import/export procedures.
• Knowledge of FIDIC and contract terms is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP highly preferred).
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail, time management and decision-making.
