Procurement Lead

About the role

Lychee is seeking a highly driven Procurement Lead to own the sourcing and purchasing strategy for both direct and indirect materials. The role is pivotal in ensuring the business has the right products, suppliers, and services at optimal cost, quality, and timing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and all indirect spend categories.
• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, RFQs/RFPs, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
• Maintain uninterrupted supply to support daily operations, production, and expansion plans.
• Lead cost‑saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, alternative suppliers, and demand optimisation.
• Oversee the full ERP procurement cycle: requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, goods receipt, and system closure.
• Ensure accurate supplier master data, pricing records, contracts, and transaction maintenance within the ERP.
• Monitor open purchase orders, delivery timelines, and supplier commitments to guarantee on‑time fulfilment.
• Build and manage supplier relationships, tracking performance on quality, price, service level, and delivery reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing for both direct and indirect materials.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cost‑reduction projects and negotiate contracts.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end procurement processes within an ERP environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills to partner with Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, IT and other functions.
