About the role
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the cost‑effective acquisition of all materials and services required by the company, ensuring quality, compliance and alignment with the procurement plan. This role drives sourcing strategies, supplier relationships and cost‑reduction initiatives across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Create and implement innovative, cost‑effective regional procurement strategies.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with vendors and critical suppliers.
- Compare proposals for price and specifications and negotiate with vendors to reduce costs.
- Review contract specifications with business units and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Manage technological systems that track shipment, inventory and supply, using SAP.
- Lead transformational activities to improve procurement efficiency and organizational capabilities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports and performance dashboards.
- Conduct cost and risk analysis, spend analysis and identify sourcing opportunities.
- Support buyer teams in negotiations, supplier management and PO release through SAP.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental regulations and company policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience, including 3‑5 years in a similar procurement position within a comparable industry.
Required skills
- Proficiency with SAP ERP system.
