Procurement Supervisor

About the role

The Procurement Supervisor will lead the company's purchasing activities, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing and timely availability of materials and services. You will develop strategies, negotiate with vendors, and support business objectives in a dynamic research environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily procurement operations and purchasing activities.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality, price, and delivery terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to ensure material availability.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
• Analyze market trends and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Track procurement KPIs and prepare regular reports.
• Resolve supplier‑related issues and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Lead, mentor, and support procurement team members when applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or medical field (e.g., Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Agriculture).
• At least 5 years of international procurement experience in the same field.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with procurement software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
