Procurement Trainee – Full‑time Annual Contract

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Procurement Trainee to support its supply chain operations in a full‑time, one‑year contract. The role will involve maintaining master data, managing supplier orders, and ensuring material availability for production.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate supplier and article master data and process MRP results to generate purchase orders.
• Track supplier deliveries, identify bottlenecks and escalate shortage risks.
• Optimize raw‑material stock levels and implement actions to avoid excess inventory and obsolescence.
• Support technical changes by coordinating ordering and delivery of new components.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including localization, consignment and logistics arrangements.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier delivery performance and suggest improvements.
• Assist with stock‑take and cycle‑count activities to ensure inventory accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 1 year of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or material planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English communication and reporting skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis, tracking tools).
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
• Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) logic and inventory control.
