Production Lead

About the role

Geocycle Egypt is seeking a Production Lead to oversee the plant’s production processes, ensure strict health and safety standards, and drive cost‑effective, high‑quality output in line with customer delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, Lafarge safety standards, and promote a strong safety culture across the workforce.
• Provide monthly safety performance reports, lead investigations of major incidents, and develop improvement action plans.
• Develop and execute the overall operations plan and master production schedule to meet strategic objectives.
• Plan and coordinate internal and external material supply, creating short‑, medium‑ and long‑term production plans through effective forecasting and capacity planning.
• Monitor, analyse and report on operational performance, productivity, material supply status and production progress, proactively resolving issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (LCE, Purchasing, Sourcing, Production, Laboratory, Commercial) to align production plans.
• Continuously improve operational procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and consistency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading production or manufacturing operations, preferably in an industrial or waste‑management environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and ability to drive safety initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage master production schedules and capacity plans.
• Excellent analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate with multiple internal departments and external suppliers.
