Production Manager – Steel & Metal Products

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our steel and metal products plant, focusing on fasteners such as bolts and nuts. The role involves planning production, overseeing wire drawing, and ensuring high quality while minimizing waste and downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short‑ and long‑term production plans based on sales forecasts and inventory.
• Oversee wet and dry wire drawing processes to achieve required diameters, dimensional accuracy and tensile strength.
• Ensure bolts and nuts meet technical specifications and work to reduce scrap rates and machine downtime.
• Deploy labor and technicians across production lines to maximize capacity.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for forming and threading machines.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reports for senior management.
• Train and develop technicians and engineers to improve operational competence.
• Monitor chemical concentrations, bath temperatures and waste treatment for pickling, phosphating and galvanizing lines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–15 years of hands‑on experience in cold and hot metal forming, especially fasteners manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage high‑capacity production lines and apply Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for diagnosing production line faults and implementing root‑cause solutions.
• Excellent time, stress and decision‑making management.
• Preference given to residents of Qalyubia Governorate.
