Project Assistant, Health

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant – Health to support the implementation of health assistance projects for migrants. Working under the overall supervision of the Medical Coordinator and directly with the National Migration Health Project Officer, the role contributes to delivering health services to vulnerable groups such as victims of trafficking, children, and other at‑risk migrants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing health project activities by compiling and maintaining records, tracking timelines against work plans, and preparing progress reports.
• Retrieve, compile, summarise, and present data on specific project topics.
• Monitor project budgets, verify fund availability, obtain approvals, and update budget information.
• Coordinate administrative actions with internal units and external partners, including requests, clearances, and follow‑ups.
• Draft status reports, highlighting delivery shortfalls for supervisor review.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, and other documentation.
• Organise meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Respond to general information requests, set up and maintain files/records.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the Medical Coordinator and the National Migration Health Project Officer.
• Strong organisational skills for record‑keeping, timeline tracking, and report preparation.
• Experience in budget monitoring and administrative coordination.
