Project Assistant – Immigration and Border Governance

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant to support its Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) unit in Egypt. Working under the Senior Programme Manager (HBM) and the National Project Officer (IBG), the assistant will provide both technical and administrative assistance to ensure the smooth delivery of IBG programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical and administrative support to the IBG thematic programme.
• Assist in coordinating capacity‑building activities, equipment provision and infrastructure projects across multiple ministries.
• Support the preparation of policy documents, reports and project monitoring tools.
• Facilitate communication between IOM, governmental partners and other stakeholders.
• Help organise workshops, trainings and field missions related to border management, migration law and humanitarian assistance.

• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Capacity to work in a multicultural environment and liaise with government agencies.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
