Project Engineering Manager

About the role

As a Project Engineering Manager you will lead the design, implementation and start‑up of capital investment projects at Nestlé’s manufacturing site in 6th of October, Egypt. You will ensure that each project meets Nestlé’s standards, local regulations and the defined user‑requirement specifications while safeguarding safety, quality and the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and/or perform the design, implementation and start‑up phases of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site.
• Prepare designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates and oversee production, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of new infrastructure and equipment.
• Monitor progress against project management plans, resolve operational issues and minimise delays.
• Identify and secure the resources required for a successful project life‑cycle, including materials, equipment and external contractors.
• Support the End‑to‑End Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager in developing and adhering to the investment project charter.
• Execute basic and detailed designs in line with Nestlé corporate principles, local regulations, URS and TPM characteristics (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability, reliability).
• Select, qualify and coordinate contractors, ensuring Nestlé standards are applied throughout construction.
• Assist Operations and Start‑Up teams to guarantee a smooth transition to commercial operation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing design, implementation and start‑up of capital investment projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, local regulations and Nestlé corporate principles.
• Ability to ensure safety, product quality and environmental compliance throughout project phases.
