Project Manager – Core Banking

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of critical initiatives for our core banking and digital banking platforms. The role requires strong expertise in managing complex software projects within the banking sector, coordinating cross‑functional technical teams, and ensuring solutions meet regulatory and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of core banking software projects.
• Define project scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to align on objectives.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units.
• Manage the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Monitor project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with banking regulations and security standards.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and performance to leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of experience in software project management, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale software projects.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.
• Familiarity with core banking systems such as Temenos T24 and Oracle FLEXCUBE.
• Knowledge of digital banking and fintech environments.
