Project Manager – Expertise France Project (Kafr Elsheikh)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Expertise France‑funded component of a two‑year health‑system strengthening initiative in Kafr Elsheikh governorate. The project aims to improve primary health care access for vulnerable groups, including refugees, migrants, women and persons with disabilities, in line with Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and manage the project budget for the Kafr Elsheikh component.
• Coordinate activities with local authorities, health ministries and partner organisations.
• Oversee implementation of training programmes for community health workers using nationally endorsed guidelines.
• Facilitate the establishment of community health committees and lead community awareness campaigns.
• Support the pilot model that integrates refugees and migrants into the national health insurance system.
• Report progress, risks and results to senior management and donors.

Required profile

• Minimum seven years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in health or humanitarian programmes.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and coordinate multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
• Strong understanding of primary health care systems and inclusive service delivery.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
