Project Manager – Health Projects in Aswan

About the role

The Project Manager will lead a health project aimed at improving access to primary and secondary health services for forcibly displaced persons, refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and host communities in Aswan governorate. The role ensures that vulnerable children and families receive gender‑sensitive primary care, mobile health outreach, and community health awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor health programme activities in coordination with technical advisors and operational staff.
• Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring compliance with Save the Children International and donor contractual requirements.
• Oversee award management, reporting and donor compliance.
• Coordinate with government departments, INGOs, NGOs and other stakeholders at the governorate level.
• Ensure safety, security and logistics for project implementation, including mobile health units.
• Lead a small team (1 Health Officer, 1 Project Assistant) and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
• Adapt working hours and duties in response to major humanitarian emergencies.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in managing health projects in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven ability to work with vulnerable populations, including children and refugees.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in budget development and financial management.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Aswan and adapt to emergency situations.
