Public Relations Lead

About the role

EMMA is looking for a Public Relations Lead based in Cairo. You will work closely with Marketing, Social Media, Content, E-commerce, Retail and Customer Care to make sure everything the brand says publicly reflects its voice.

Key responsibilities

• Build the annual PR and communications strategy around brand and business goals
• Run PR campaigns for launches, collections, events, collaborations and announcements
• Maintain relationships with fashion editors, journalists, stylists, influencers, celebrities and industry partners
• Manage earned media: press releases, pitches, interviews, press kits and the quality and sentiment of each mention
• Handle influencer and celebrity relations end to end, including outreach, negotiation, agreements, deliverables and usage rights
• Build regional media and influencer databases
• Work with PR agencies and suppliers on clear briefs, timelines and budgets
• Organise event and fashion show PR, including guest lists, press attendance, interviews and coverage
• Prepare crisis communication plans and official responses
• Manage the PR budget, monthly and post-campaign reporting and prove that spend delivers brand value

Required profile

• 5-7 years in PR, ideally in fashion, luxury, beauty or lifestyle
• Bachelor's degree in PR, communications, marketing, media or a related field
• Proven track record leading campaigns, launches, events and influencer partnerships
• Strong media and influencer network in Egypt; GCC experience is a strong plus
• Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English

• Negotiation, presentation and crisis-management skills
• Clear understanding of paid versus organic use, licensing, approvals and creator rights
• Comfort managing budgets, contracts, agencies and reporting
