QA & Testing Automation Tech Specialist

About the role

Vodafone is looking for an entry‑level QA & Testing Automation Tech Specialist to join its Enterprise Solutions Tribe. You will support the testing team by executing manual test cases, learning automation fundamentals, and reporting bugs under the guidance of senior testers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases and clearly document defects.
• Assist in creating and maintaining test artifacts such as test scenarios and expected results.
• Participate in learning automation scripting and run basic automated tests.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers during daily stand‑ups, sprint planning and review meetings.
• Take part in internal training, mentorship programs and continuously improve testing practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in software testing or relevant academic projects.
• ISTQB Foundation level certification (mandatory).
• Good communication skills and a proactive, detail‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Familiarity with a test‑management tool such as JIRA.
• Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
• Fundamental scripting or programming skills in Java or Python.
• Understanding of test case design, execution and bug reporting.
