Quality Assurance & Food Safety Manager – Supply Chain & Vendor Assurance

About the role

The Quality Assurance & Food Safety Manager – Supply Chain & Vendor Assurance leads the implementation and continuous improvement of Agthia’s supply‑chain quality and food‑safety system across Atyab Egypt. The role ensures that all suppliers, raw materials, storage, distribution and finished‑product delivery meet stringent safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the Supply Chain & Vendor Assurance Program, integrating quality and food‑safety requirements throughout the supply chain.
• Design and operate a risk‑based supplier approval, qualification and monitoring process, including documentation review, audits and performance tracking.
• Identify, assess and mitigate quality and food‑safety risks, covering food fraud, allergen control, food defense and business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian Food Safety Authority regulations, customer specifications, export rules and international standards such as GFSI.
• Plan and conduct supplier audits, evaluate compliance, manage corrective actions (CAPA) and report performance metrics to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply‑chain quality assurance, food‑safety management or vendor assurance within a manufacturing or food‑production environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, GFSI standards and risk‑based assessment methodologies.
