Material Planning Engineer

About the role

Simplex is seeking a highly organized and analytical Material Planning Engineer to ensure raw material and production supply availability in line with production plans, customer requirements, and delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate raw material and production supply requirements based on production plans, customer orders, and demand forecasts.
• Develop, update, and monitor MRP schedules to ensure timely material availability.
• Review and validate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and material specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or excesses, and take corrective actions.
• Issue purchase requisitions and follow up with procurement to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, quality, sales, and logistics to maintain uninterrupted production.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in MRP, material planning, production planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in engineering, machinery, CNC, metalworking or industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Very good command of Microsoft Excel for large‑scale data analysis.
• Strong understanding of MRP, BOM, inventory management, lead times and safety stock concepts.
