Quality Lead - Mechanical

About the role

Scatec is seeking a Quality Lead – Mechanical to ensure quality and compliance of mechanical works within renewable energy projects. You will provide core quality management support, overseeing inspection, testing and documentation for mechanical equipment, piping, assemblies and installations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the source of best practice for quality management of mechanical construction and installation activities.
• Prepare and maintain the Mechanical Quality Plan, inspection and test plans, and quality checklists.
• Review and approve inspection and test plans, method statements and related documentation from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain mechanical quality documentation, inspection records, certificates, test results and installation records.
• Manage the register of quality issues related to mechanical equipment, cabling, earthing, terminations, testing and installation.
• Develop corrective action plans and participate in quality reviews, producing quality reports as required.
• Perform quality checks on mechanical works at project sites and sub‑supplier locations.
• Ensure sufficient resources are allocated for effective quality management.
• Lead a team of mechanical inspectors to implement quality control procedures.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in quality management, preferably within mechanical works.
• Proven ability to manage quality documentation, inspections and corrective actions.
• Experience leading a team of inspectors.
