Regional Sales Manager

About the role

Lesaffre Egypt for Yeast Industries, a joint-stock company producing baking yeasts and yeast extracts, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager in Giza, Upper Egypt. The role reports to the Commercial Director and covers maintaining and growing market share in designated markets, managing the sales team of supervisors and working closely with customers, distributors and the marketing and baking centre.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow market share in assigned markets and implement company strategy
• Manage the sales team of supervisors and communicate with customers to collect orders and send them to the sales back office
• Follow credit policy through collections from distributors and collect checks within credit limits
• Visit clients, bakeries and sub-distributors to follow up sales, check product availability and resolve issues between distributors
• Analyse product returns and customer complaints, and monitor customer performance and sales volume
• Collect competitor data and initiate new sales leads to expand the customer database
• Follow up customer deposits and handle problems to keep business running smoothly
• Report weekly on sales, action plans and complaints, and ensure distributors sell at the company's price policy
• Split products among distributors by sales contribution and cascade trade policies, announcements and targets
• Arrange technical support and demonstrations for bakeries with the baking support team

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent
• 7-12 years of experience in FMCG and distributor management
• Proven ability to manage and develop sales teams
• Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution channels, local market dynamics and competitor analysis
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills
