Remote Cybersecurity Specialist – Penetration Testing

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist to perform penetration testing for a global information services leader. The contract role focuses on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities across networks, web applications, and APIs to strengthen the client’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
• Run vulnerability scans, analyze results, and pinpoint security weaknesses.
• Develop and execute custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attacks.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage issues and verify remediation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Understanding of network protocols, Windows and Linux operating systems, and cloud security principles.
