Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding & Shipping

About the role

The Sales Manager will drive revenue growth for a freight forwarding and shipping line business based in Alexandria. Reporting directly to senior management, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on leadership of the sales team to capture new business and nurture existing accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Lead, coach and manage the sales team to achieve monthly and annual targets.
• Expand the customer base by identifying and pursuing new market opportunities.
• Maintain and grow key accounts through strong relationship management.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to top management.
• Coordinate closely with Operations and Customer Service to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Achieve overall company sales targets and contribute to profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• Proven experience in a freight forwarding company or shipping line.
• Deep knowledge of international freight forwarding, import/export and logistics services.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Existing customer portfolio in the logistics sector is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer‑relationship skills.
• Ability to design and execute effective sales strategies.
• Residency in Alexandria.
