About the role

This entry‑level position supports the safety of school children as they cross intersections in Norristown. Working part‑time, Monday through Friday, you will be stationed at designated school crossings to manage traffic and protect students during their commute.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain traffic control at school intersections during designated hours.
• Ensure the safe passage of children to and from school.
• Interact courteously with motorists, parents, and students.
• Adapt to changing work hours and weather conditions.
• Make quick, sound decisions in potentially hazardous situations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
• PA State Police criminal background check clearance.
• FBI clearance.
• Ability to walk, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in adverse weather.
• Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with children, motorists, and the public.
• Home telephone required for on‑call communication.
