Science Lab Technician - Immediate Start

About the role

Egypt Education Platform is urgently seeking a Science Lab Technician for its Prime National School, Westview International Language School, in 6th of October City. The technician maintains lab equipment, prepares materials for experiments and keeps the lab safe and organised for students and staff. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for experiments and practical sessions across subjects
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment so it stays in good working order
• Assist teachers in experiments and demonstrations and support students as needed
• Follow safety regulations and lab protocols, keeping the workspace clean and orderly
• Manage inventory of lab supplies, keeping materials stocked and equipment stored and accessible
• Report issues with equipment or supplies to the relevant staff
• Take part in routine maintenance and cleaning, including disposing of hazardous materials according to safety guidelines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in science, pharmacy or chemical engineering
• Experience in a laboratory setting within an educational environment is preferred
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to support teachers and students
