Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist

About the role

We are a leading Canadian SEO agency seeking an experienced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist to join our remote team. You will work with small-business clients in the USA, reporting to our Toronto office and operating on Toronto business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor SEO campaigns, including keyword research, site audits, link analysis and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver all contract-specified SEO deliverables.
• Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, canonical problems, bad redirects and duplicate content.
• Provide strategic recommendations for content development aligned with SEO goals.
• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, analyze digital activity and communicate insights to clients.
• Manage digital advertising budgets, track success metrics and suggest optimisation opportunities.
• Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape and internal product developments.

Required profile

• Graduate with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in SEO strategy planning and execution.
• Strong project-management abilities and capacity to handle multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and business-judgment skills.
• Fluent oral and written English.
• Ability to work remotely following Toronto business hours (9 am–5 pm).

Required skills

• Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEM Rush, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog (or similar crawling tools).
• Experience in SEO analytics, on-page and off-page optimisation.
• Familiarity with Google Data Studio for custom reporting.
