About the role

GEMS British International School Madinaty in Cairo is hiring a Secondary Arabic Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027. The teacher teaches the Arabic language and culture, develops the curriculum and helps students reach higher levels of language proficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Arabic language curricula covering reading, writing, speaking and comprehension, aligned with educational standards and program objectives.
• Teach engaging lessons for students of different proficiency levels, using interactive activities, multimedia and real-life examples.
• Assess students regularly through quizzes, tests, assignments and oral assessments, giving constructive feedback.
• Incorporate Arabic culture, history and literature into lessons.
• Provide extra guidance to students who need more support in an inclusive, culturally sensitive way.
• Maintain a positive, organized and interactive classroom atmosphere.
• Work with colleagues and staff to improve the language program and take part in professional development.
• Use modern teaching tools and online platforms to support virtual or hybrid learning.
