About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a qualified and dedicated Secondary Biology Teacher to join its team in August 2026. The role is based on site in the school's department and focuses on teaching biology in the secondary stage, helping students build a deep understanding of biological sciences and critical thinking skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, comprehensive biology lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum.
• Use diverse teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and encourage active student participation.
• Design and administer assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress.
• Promote scientific inquiry, critical analysis and practical understanding through laboratory experiments and projects.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and productive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery and take part in school activities and professional development.
• Communicate with students, parents and administration about student progress and concerns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Science Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or qualification preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to write engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
• Passion for teaching and motivating students in the sciences, and commitment to professional growth and collaboration.
