Security Architect

About the role

Andela is seeking a Security Architect to lead security architecture reviews and drive vulnerability and patch management using Tenable Security Center. The role works closely with the Security Solutions A&E Manager and the AISOC team to ensure secure design of APIs, cloud components, and digital banking platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Review new and changed system designs, network architectures, and digital platform builds from an information security perspective.
• Produce Security Architecture Review Reports with risk‑rated findings, threat model summaries, and design recommendations aligned to security standards.
• Assess security of APIs, cloud components, integration layers, and digital banking platforms against OWASP, NIST, and CBE guidelines.
• Maintain an architecture review register tracking designs, decisions, and open risk items.
• Own Tenable Security Center configuration, scan policy design, and coverage assurance across the full asset inventory.
• Design and implement a structured vulnerability management workflow integrated with IT patch management.
• Generate weekly and monthly vulnerability dashboards for leadership, showing patch SLA compliance and remediation velocity.
• Define and enforce scan coverage SLAs for all in‑scope assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security architecture and engineering assessments.
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability and patch management processes.
• Familiarity with security standards such as OWASP, NIST, and CBE.
• Ability to produce clear risk‑rated reports and recommendations.
