Security Officer – Night Shift

About the role

The Security Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and property during overnight hours at a mid‑size hotel. This full‑time, night‑shift position requires a professional presence, strict adherence to safety protocols, and close collaboration with front‑desk and night‑audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot patrols of guest floors, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels continuously to detect and investigate suspicious activity.
• Manage building access control, allowing only authorized guests and staff to enter during night hours.
• Respond immediately to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or physical disturbances.
• Document detailed incident reports and daily activity logs with high accuracy.
• Assist guests with safety‑related inquiries, lockouts, or escort needs.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional security experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Valid security guard license and current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Physical stamina to remain on feet for 12‑hour shifts and respond to emergencies.
• Ability to stay calm, decisive, and professional under high‑pressure situations.
