Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

The Senior Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function for our Egypt operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes and prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Egyptian accounting standards.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, balance‑sheet schedules and oversee AP, AR, fixed assets, GL and payroll accounting.
• Manage the annual statutory audit, coordinate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Oversee corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax and stamp duty compliance, file returns and coordinate tax audits with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian laws, tax regulations and statutory filing requirements, and maintain effective segregation of duties.
• Strengthen internal controls, support corporate governance initiatives and drive process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting leadership, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and local Egyptian accounting regulations.
• Proven track record managing statutory audits, tax compliance and regulatory affairs.
• Ability to lead teams, coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory bodies.
