Senior Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Senior Accounting Specialist will ensure accurate, compliant accounting operations across multiple areas, including cost management, intercompany accounting, and internal controls. You will support month‑end and year‑end close processes while collaborating with internal teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Apply appropriate accounting treatments, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and review reconciliations for all relevant accounts, investigate variances, and clear outstanding items promptly.
• Manage vehicle CBU shipment costing, spare‑parts costing, supplier payables, customs‑related accounts, and inventory accounting.
• Record bank transactions, reconcile transitory accounts, and oversee intercompany accounts for local affiliates.
• Conduct quarterly internal‑control checks, implement process improvements, and take corrective actions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, prepare reporting packages, and assist with audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable university.
• 2‑3 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
• Strong knowledge of international and local accounting standards.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and collaborate effectively.
