Senior Accounting Specialist – New Factory Setup

About the role

Kar Porselen is launching a greenfield porcelain manufacturing plant in Alexandria, Egypt. As a Senior Accounting Specialist you will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting while building the financial systems that will support the factory for years to come.

Key responsibilities

• Manage core accounting functions: general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, and inventory costing.
• Record and reconcile CAPEX transactions and produce budget‑vs‑actual reports.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules for consolidation with the Group headquarters in Turkey.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax, customs, and accounting regulations; liaise with local tax advisors and auditors.
• Process monthly payroll, social insurance filings, and statutory submissions.
• Oversee end‑to‑end e‑invoicing, from issuance to tracking and compliance.
• Handle cash‑flow transactions, including import/export payments, and maintain internal controls.
• Enter and maintain data in the Canias ERP system during its setup and integration, testing related processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 6–8 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting legislation and tax rules.
• Hands‑on experience with e‑invoicing processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Alexandria and fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
