Senior Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join EBE’s hybrid team in Dokki, Cairo. You will design, build and maintain high‑performance Android applications that serve our Banking and Retail clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain advanced Android applications.
• Deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions for time‑sensitive projects while meeting business requirements.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues and fix bugs.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability and adherence to best practices.
• Explore and implement emerging technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Build intuitive, user‑friendly interfaces that follow Google’s design principles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and lead projects independently when required.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of proven Android development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field (or equivalent).
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Experience in the FinTech domain is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java programming.
• Object‑Oriented Programming, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Android app components.
• RESTful APIs, JSON, XML.
• Android frameworks: Retrofit, Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger Hilt, JUnit, Jetpack components.
• ProGuard and Gradle build systems.
• CI/CD tools: Git, SonarQube, unit testing.
• TCP/IP socket programming, SSL/HTTPS protocols, encryption/decryption.
