Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to join Procore’s Mobile team in Cairo. You will design, build, and scale the Android application that helps construction teams manage projects and jobsite safety worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, high‑impact features across our Android applications.
• Contribute to architectural and design decisions in partnership with staff engineers and the engineering manager.
• Identify technical issues, propose improvements, and drive them to resolution.
• Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews, pairing, and hands‑on coaching.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to translate customer needs into scalable solutions.
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of the codebase.
• Support the full feature lifecycle, including production support and incident resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years building native Android apps using Kotlin and Java.
• Strong product mindset; mobile automation experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of shipping complex, high‑quality software products.
• Experience leading medium‑scale technical initiatives and excellent communication skills.
• Self‑directed with sound judgment on escalation versus independent resolution.
