About the role

The Senior Approvals Doctor leads the approvals team in reviewing complex medical cases, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and delivering high‑quality service to patients and providers. This position works closely with internal departments and external healthcare partners to validate treatment plans and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise junior approval officers and guide them on complex cases.
• Ensure adherence to internal protocols, service‑level agreements, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with internal departments and healthcare providers to clarify and validate treatment plans.
• Participate in audits, contribute to policy updates, and support process improvements.
• Schedule and optimise workforce according to tasks and skill sets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm), MBBCh, or a related medical field.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations.
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision‑making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
