Senior Backend Developer

About the role

Geidea is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of its settlement platform. You will deliver reliable, secure, and scalable Java‑based solutions that enable accurate financial transaction processing and settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce high code quality and development standards across all services.
• Lead architectural decisions for microservices, API governance, and complex integrations.
• Provide technical leadership to cross‑functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, Operations).
• Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, scalability risks, and performance challenges.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data‑protection requirements.
• Oversee production stability, incident management, root‑cause analysis, and preventive measures.
• Align the technical roadmap with business priorities and enterprise architecture.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of backend development experience using Java.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience building enterprise‑grade backend services with Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
• Strong background in designing RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Experience with microservices, event‑driven architectures, and service orchestration.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and performance tuning.
