Senior BI Engineer – Power BI Specialist

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to design and deliver Power BI solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights for clients. The role involves creating interactive dashboards, integrating multiple data sources, and ensuring data quality and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust BI solutions.
• Integrate data from SQL databases, APIs, Excel, and cloud platforms.
• Develop and optimise DAX queries and data models for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting needs and ensure data security and governance.
• Monitor BI tool performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain data integrity.
• Provide training and documentation for end‑users.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in BI engineering, data analysis or a similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Power BI (including DAX and Power Query/M).
• SQL and relational database expertise.
• Python or R for data analysis.
• ETL processes and data‑warehousing concepts.
• Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory) – preferred.
