Senior BIM Architectural Engineer (Shopdrawing)

About the role

Lead the development, coordination, and management of high‑level architectural BIM models up to LOD 450 (fabrication/shop drawing) and LOD 500 (as‑built), ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance with construction specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architectural BIM models to LOD 450/500, incorporating precise manufacturing, assembly and installation data.
• Supervise, direct and mentor a team of BIM modelers and junior engineers, reviewing daily shop‑drawing production.
• Collaborate with structural, MEP and site construction teams to resolve interdisciplinary clashes and produce fully integrated fabrication‑level drawings.
• Establish, enforce and optimise BIM standards, modelling protocols and shop‑drawing workflows for construction execution.
• Conduct rigorous model reviews, coordinate shop‑to‑as‑built transitions and extract accurate quantities, sequencing data and material specifications.
• Stay updated with cutting‑edge BIM technologies, detailing methodologies and prefabrication trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of professional experience in architectural BIM with a strong focus on shop‑drawing production.
• Proven leadership in managing BIM teams and implementing LOD 400/450/500 workflows on major projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, material tolerances, building codes and site execution requirements.
