Senior Chef de Partie

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to lead our kitchen team at The St. Regis New Capital Cairo. The successful candidate will supervise cooks, ensure high‑quality food presentation and maintain smooth kitchen operations in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
• Design and execute decorative food displays, portioning, plating and garnish according to menu standards.
• Monitor food quantities, stock levels and kitchen inventory, and communicate menu specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Prepare special meals, substitute items and assist cooks with various tasks.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching kitchen personnel.
• Follow all company safety, security and uniform policies and report any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• 4‑6 years of relevant culinary experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Ability to work long periods standing, lifting up to 25 lb, and performing physical tasks.

• Food safety compliance and kitchen log management.
• Inventory control and stock monitoring.
• Advanced culinary plating and decorative food presentation.
