Senior Cost Control Accountant

About the role

Bow & Ark is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Control Accountant to join its Finance Department. You will be responsible for managing product costing, inventory control, variance analysis, and financial reporting across both manufacturing and retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and review cost sheets for products, recipes, packaging, and finished goods.
• Analyze raw material consumption, production yields, and manufacturing variances.
• Monitor standard versus actual costs, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Validate material usage against approved recipes and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Conduct monthly cost analysis, identify cost‑reduction opportunities, and prepare profitability reports.
• Participate in monthly stock counts, reconcile physical inventory with system records, and monitor inventory movements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate costing.
• Assist internal and external audits related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Contribute to ERP cost‑structure updates and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Cost Accounting or Cost Control.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, retail, or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, production costing, BOMs, and variance analysis.
• High attention to detail and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems for costing and inventory management.
