Senior Cost Control Engineer

About the role

The Senior Cost Control Engineer will prepare budgets, monitor actual costs, and identify variances to improve project financial performance. This role ensures timely cost reporting and supports the construction team with technical cost analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project cost plans, cash flow reviews, and monthly cost control reports using company standard forms.
• Analyze project expenses by trade, material purchase orders, labor, equipment, and subcontractors against budgets.
• Provide ad‑hoc cost reports, support variation and claim analysis, and review invoice status monthly.
• Disseminate budget information to operating groups and offer technical support to the construction team.
• Mentor junior cost controllers and handle special assignments as required.
• Attend monthly project management meetings to discuss cost report issues.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and maintain departmental database requirements.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in cost control or related field.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PRMG or CCE preferred.
• Good command of English.
