Senior Cost Control

About the role

Egis International, a leading global architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services firm, is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Cost Control professional to join its Cairo office. You will monitor, analyze and control costs across projects and departments, develop and implement cost management strategies, keep meticulous financial records and give actionable insights to improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze project and departmental expenditures to identify variances and cost overruns
• Develop, implement and maintain cost control strategies and procedures
• Prepare cost reports, variance analyses and financial forecasts for management review
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure adherence to approved financial allocations
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Work with department heads and project managers to set and monitor cost targets
• Maintain accurate cost records and documentation, conduct financial audits and reviews, and analyze cost trends
• Support pricing strategy development and present cost control findings to senior management

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting, cost control or financial analysis
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Preferred: experience with project cost control in matrix environments, lean cost management or continuous improvement, internal audit experience, and cost estimation and cost-benefit analysis
